Perfect for humid areas but tank fills quickly

UPDATE: 2022-09-01: It's been over a year and I still use this dehumidifier daily in the summer. I wanted to note that it is possible to run this device 24/7 non-stop, by reading the manual (page 12) there's a procedure explaining how to extend the "run time" to more than 12 hours. The manual can be downloaded from Sharp's website (PDF, all Japanese but the text can be selected/copied -- for those who rely on G Translate). You'll need a hose to drain the water otherwise as I mention below, the tank fills up quickly.I let it run overnight and when it's very humid the machine will continue working non-stop on "auto" mode. It has an "auto-shutoff" when the tank is full or when 12 hours have elapsed (by default), and depending on the setting you choose (I use auto dehumidifier) it will go into "low-power" mode if the humidity drops low enough, so there's no worry of wasting electricity. The only problem is the tank fills up before the 12 hours "auto off", sometimes 6 or 8 hours for me. This has been problematic as I use it in a room with many books and items which can't be subject to too much humidity. Fortunately there's a hole in the back for a tube. The simple solution is to run a tube to a sink or a much larger tank (I use an old 15L water bottle and empty it occasionally) and that'll be perfect for a long time. The room does get hot but that's a normal side-effect of every dehumidifier. As a final note, I previously used one of those cheap Chinese things for 6000yen and they were complete garbage. This machine has a compressor so it really pulls. I recommend it to everyone I know.
